Phil survived a weekend without racing...but he wasn't happy about it.

A BIG Thanks to Roger Burdell, the Gerl bunch and anyone else that helped Dustin with the monza on Saturday. Thanks to Corey for helping him get the broken pieces out once he brought it back home.

I think Dustin and Sarah had a good time, even though they didn't win. They got home at a decent time today and had time to hang out with Phil. It was Phil's only day off and the first one since his birthday...so we celebrated his birthday by going to eat together. He chose Cracker Barrel. It was good as usual. We tried a new dessert. They had quit serving our favorite - so we tried the coca-cola cake and it was very tasty.

Thanks again to everyone who helped with the Monza. Phil and I appreciate it.

Anything new going on? Phil has been busy doing a little work on the Monza. Hoping we'll get to race a time or two before winter.

I still don't like him working nights.

Did everyone have a nice weekend? It was a bit chilly but at least we got to go racing. It was the last points race at Coles. Phil ended up finishing 2nd in the super pro points battle. Way to go Phil! emoticon

Yesterday Phil made it down to money round and Dustin lost at 3 cars in pro. Roger took 2nd in super pro. Monzilla liked the cool air and was running pretty quick...and coming up pretty high.

I posted a few pictures on facebook. I'll try to add them to my racing album soon.

On Friday night I got all my hair cut off. I wanted to try something new. Thanks Amanda

Saturday night Little talked Dustin into getting out his racing monopoly game and Sarah joined us in a game. I forgot how fun that game was. Little really enjoyed it. She'll probably go home and try to make her own game now.

I have to get back to work now... hope you all have a great week!

Congrats again to Richie on his points championship!

Hey there.. .kinda quiet here and thought I'd say hello.

Spent the evening worrying about and praying for Scotty's little boy - Baeley. He fell during PE today and broke his leg BAD. He just came out of surgery and has a pin from his knee to his hip and two small pins that will come out later. Poor boy was in such pain. I'm still not sure why it broke so easy. He is in St. Johns in Springfield. He'll have some stories to tell now. He rode in the ambulance from school to local hosptial and then from there in another ambulance to Springfield.

Also heard that Jon Tex is having more problems. Not sure if I had told you but his health problems had caused him to be legally blind. Now he's in the hospital again with two possible blood clots in his lungs.

Please keep both these guys in your prayers.

Did everyone get a chance to enjoy the weather yesterday and/or today? I took this afternoon off and made the most of it.

Just a quick update to let you know we are still trying to recover from the flu here at our house. I can't remember the last time I was this sick. It's HORRIBLE. I hate being sick...I hate having a fever.
To top off the flu I have a sinus infection...joy joy - NOT.

I have been off work all week. I sure didn't plan on using my vacation time like this... but at least I still had some days left. Always trying to think positive.

I hope everyone else out there is doing well and doesn't catch this crap.

Howdy Peeps...
How's things going? Nothing to interesting going on here..so that's why I haven't wrote much lately.

Last weekend sure was fun racing on Sunday. With Phil making it to two finals....WOW! It was work...but it was fun. A nice way to finish the season. Although...he says he might just take off for Thanksgiving and race somewhere...we shall wait and see. Not sure about his work schedule.

I hope everyone is well... I'm still a little 'run down' feeling from having the flu. I sure hope I get some energy back soon....my house is a disaster.

Howdy Peeps.. anyone still reading this?

It's nice to finally feel better. Friday evening I actually spent the night cleaning this house. Then on Saturday I spent some time outside with Phil washing the truck, trailer and my car. Although he did most of the work....
The job he was on ended so he'll be home for awhile. We're thinking about racing over Thanksgiving but I'm just not sure yet. We would have to buy slicks first.... we shall see. Anyone want to sponsor us? j/k

Last night we drove up to Springfield and met Sarah for supper at The Texas Roadhouse. We'd never been there before. It was good...a bit noisy in there, but fun and the food was good. I LOVED the sweet tea emoticon

The ribs fell off the bone and Dustin said he had a great steak.

We walked around at the mall for awhile and got to visit with a racing friend there for awhile.

Today I slept in (yes, I should have gotten up for church) then made a big breakfast. Nothing too exciting going on here. I'm listening to NHRA live audio and watching the live timing that is available to NHRA members that are signed up for email with them. The guys don't want to hear the results, they're going to watch it on tv later.

I guess that's all I got... I'm outta here...

Still not sure what we're doing. Phil has been out in the garage working the last few days. Monzilla needed a little attention. Today he's babysitting for his little niece. I wish I could be home with them. Too bad I had to use up my time off when I had the stupid flu.

I guess I better get back to work.. break time is over.
